Group Actions in Topology and Analysis - 4th GAF Conference, Milan 2010

Aim and scope

The aim of the conference is to share ideas and results on the interactions of symmetries, topology and analysis. Researchers from various branches of mathematics will illustrate results where the concepts of symmetry and transformation group play a significant role, also with respect to applications to the common interface of topology, analysis and dynamical systems.

To be more specific, the topics to be discussed include group actions on manifolds with high degree of symmetry, toric topology, symplectic geometry and topology, variational methods for symmetric problems, the equivariant version of degree and index theories for critical points, bifurcation theory, symmetry in Hamiltonian systems and the n-body problem.

It is the fourth of the Group Action Forum conferences.
